Just something that has been sitting on my computer for a few months now. Came across it a couple days ago and threw on the finishing touches. I got a little impatient and rushed in the end but I hope it sill turned out all right.
Constructive Criticism is greatly appreciated. So don't be afraid to tear it apart and tell me where I can improve.
awww D8 I didn't mean to make you sad. I do all of my digital art with photoshop and a graphics tablet. Feel free to ask me more questions if you like. I'm no art teacher but I'll try to answer the best I can.
This is. I don't even. Speechless I am. This image broke my m key so I have to copy/paste it. xD
Just. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOW. ;; Look at those oranges, blues, purples, reds, pinks, the iridescence of her feathers, the gleam in her eye, how it looks so FIERY. Those vibrant bluuuuuues. -eeee- I absolutely love this, there's so much here I can drool on. The effect you created to highlight her crest feathers is really awesome -- that back lit glow? Gorgeous~ Something about the blues on her face really make me super happy inside, they're just the -right- blue hues. She looks so peaceful in that setting, I totally want to escape into this painting. xD I am curious about those leaves! Are they a custom brush available anywhere?
Thank you for the wonderful comment. <3 I'm glad you liked it.
Oh noes I didn't mean for this to break your m key. XD
I had so much fun colouring this and Sardiryx was super fun to draw. I predict that she might make more appearances in my gallery in the future. The beautiful speed paints you've been doing inspired me to challenge myself with background that wasn't a gradient with a texture slapped on top. XD A lot of this was very experimental since I usually avoid bg's. I also realized that water is hard to get right. XD
Yep! It took me a while to find again but the leaves are a custom brush I downloaded from [link] I can't remember how I came across them or who actually made the brushes anymore though. There are a lot of other neat brushes in the set to.
Oh weird, I totally have that brush set! I guess I'll have to dig harder to find that particular brush, I use the other leaf brush that came with it. >>a As far as backgrounds are concerned, I think you pulled it off splendidly -- the colors are captivating and the tree limb and other flora have a very wistful atmosphere about them. I can easily tell the water and waves are just that, and the clouds look to be on fire with the sun's rays. <33
I really love the colors and the tones in this picture, and you did an awesome job on the smoothing! The only thing I can really say is 'odd' about the picture is the width of the neck. But that is all
AHHHH this is phenomenal! 8D I really don't know how you pull it off these days, but it really gets me ^^^
I'd start off with the background, since its so lovely. Well, first off, the vibrant colours really add to the image, its gorgeous and the pink reflection really makes it stand out. Although, I do have to say the pattern of the (clouds?) and the wave ripples in the water are both almost identical, its just a switch in colour.
I don't know what else to say, everything is amazing! 8D
Oh god why is your art so vibrant and gorgeous all the time? <33 So many lovely colors at work here, Sky is gonna LOVVVVE this when she see's it ;D Had to of been a pain to do all those feathers but Sardy looks fabulous on that background ;o;
